#STOPWarrantSpreethBeingTransferred
HELP KEEP
WARRANT OFFICER NICK SPREETH
IN OUR PRECINCT
October 2015
About two weeks ago the Community Police Forum learnt that Warrant Office Nick Spreeth might be transferred to the Ocean View Police Station.
This has now become a reality!
We need to start protesting, let our voice be heard, just as so many communities do, to avoid this from happening.
Warrant Spreeth to his colleagues, Nick to many of us who have met him, worked with him, come into contact with him during the many years, 8 in total, that he served as Sector Commander of Sector 1 of the Simon's Town Precinct, the area which covers the Glencairn Valley, Old Glencairn, Glen Marine, Woodlands, Neptune's Close, Scarborough, Misty Cliffs, Pinehaven, and all the rural areas in between, as well as some of you in Sector 2 (everything south of the line Red Hill Road cuts across the Peninsula), will know Nick as a dedicated, old school policeman! Someone who cares deeply for his community, who will work with all of us to make sure we are kept safe!
But you may not be aware that besides his job as Sector 1 Commander at the Simon's Town Police Station, Warrant Spreeth is also responsible for an additional seven, yes, you are reading it correctly, seven jobs! Seven jobs, which should be done by others, but, because the Western Cape Provincial office has never replaced the people who left those jobs, Nick does them! And, the powers that be are not planning on replacing Nick or his colleague either, which means that in total 9 jobs will now have to be done by those that are left, severely affecting the service delivery at our local police station!
We need to stop his transfer! And we need your help, whether you know Nick or not!
Please start by downloading this e-mail and sending it to the Provincial and Cluster offices, as well as Mark Wiley, MPL for Community Safety, Cultural Affairs and Sport!
All you need to do is click on the links above, sign your name at the bottom of the e-mail and click send (the content of the e-mail has already been uploaded, but you are free to change it in whatever way you like, to personalise it before sending)
Please do it now! Let's all show our concern and distress, together!
Kind regards,
Aliet Ray
